Cambodia’s newest airline spreads wings across Asia

JC International Airlines, the Chinese-backed Cambodian carrier that launched earlier this year, has started adding a series of new routes across Asia.

Previously the only overseas route operated by the start-up airline was Siem Reap-Macau. But on Saturday 13 May JC International commenced flights to Taipei; this route will now run six times a week direct between Phnom Penh and Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, with a seventh service operating via Siem Reap.

And according to the Routes Online database, the airline’s international network will then expand further in June, with the launch of two new routes. On 6 June, the carrier will start flying daily between Phnom Penh and Bangkok’s Don Mueang Airport and four times a week between Siem Reap and Ho Chi Minh City.

JC International, which is part-owned by the Chinese company that operates Kunming-based Ruili Airlines, started operating in March 2017. It has a fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft.
