- April 4, 2022

Cathay Pacific is welcoming passengers on board as flights between the UK and Hong Kong have officially resumed on 1 April. The first flight (CX252) will depart from London Heathrow (LHR) on 31st March landing in Hong Kong on 1st April, followed by a Manchester Airport (MAN) departure (CX216) on 3rd April.

Due to relaxed restrictions, fully vaccinated Hong Kong residents will also be permitted entry to the HKG with a reduced seven nights in a dedicated quarantine hotel; additional requirements including pre-departure PCR testing and travel declaration forms remain in place. For ease whilst travelling, Cathay Pacific has collated all the key information in their step-by-step Hong Kong travel checklist.

The Hong Kong Airport transit ban will also be lifted by 1st April, allowing passengers to experience Cathay Pacific’s award-winning onboard service from the UK. Travellers will now be able to connect through Hong Kong to onward destinations, as Cathay Pacific is opening travel options including Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Malaysia and many more.

All First and Business Class passengers alongside selected members of the Marco Polo Club and the oneworld partner programme travelling from London Heathrow will be able to enjoy the renowned Cathay Pacific airport lounge found in Terminal 3.

Cathay Pacific is the greener flying choice and offers a wide range of destinations such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Japan, and Taiwan. Through the airline’s Fly Greener programme Cathay Pacific is allowing passengers to offset their travel and has to date offset over 300,000 tonnes of carbon emissions since 2007.
