Greether, the innovative travel safety startup for female travellers, has announced that they have been accepted into Expedia Group’s first accelerator program. Having launched last September, this initiative is designed to advance innovation in the travel industry by helping startups fast-track their growth, and innovate on Expedia Group’s purpose-built technology platform.The program will provide access to the company’s resources and expertise, as well as mentorship from industry leaders.

Greether, which was founded by Vanessa Karel, is a platform that helps women travel safer around the world by connecting female travelers with local women Greeters who can be booked to explore destinations in a safe, authentic and sustainable way. The platform currently has signups of adventurous women in over 90 countries around the world and is working to launch their mobile app this year.

Through the program, Greether will have access to Expedia Group’s global network of travel partners and mentors, as well as opportunities to explore potential commercial and/or tech partnerships with the company.

Greether is set to begin the program in January 2023 at an event at their headquarters in Seattle in which Vanessa Karel (Greether founder) and team will present in front of their executives and other selected startups.
