Virgin Voyages’ newest ship has cruised into Barcelona ahead of its inaugural Mediterranean season. Valiant Lady has headed to its sunny new Mediterranean homeport at Port de Barcelona. The port joins Miami as the first homeports of the new cruise line, founded by Sir Richard Branson.
Virgin Voyages’ second lady ship will offer seven-night itineraries across the waters of the Mediterranean from its new homeport.
On the launch, Virgin Group Founder Sir Richard Branson said: “The spectacular Mediterranean is home to some incredible destinations that everyone should have the pleasure of enjoying, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience this region with us.
“When we started Virgin Voyages, we knew we wanted to create something special, unlike anything ever seen before in the cruising world. The result is something I am tremendously proud of, and I hope everyone in Barcelona joins me in bidding bienvenida to Valiant Lady.”
Valiant Lady hosts 1,330 cabins and 78 RockStar Quarters, along with two Massive Suites. 86% of the ship’s cabins boast a balcony, with 93% guaranteeing ocean views.
