Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica
Luxury hotel group Kempinski has announced its newest destination in the Americas. The highly-anticipated Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica will open its doors to guests and exclusive clientele on 14 October 2019. The resort will be Kempinski’s second Caribbean venture and Dominica’s first-ever five-star resort.
All of the resort’s 151 guestrooms and suites are luxuriously appointed, from deluxe and superior rooms featuring mountain or ocean views to spacious suites and two-bedroom duplexes, as well as villas. Inspired by the island’s surroundings, each features a palette of coastal colours, detailed wood accents and ample natural lighting.
While worlds away, guests will find all of the modern conveniences of home right at their fingertips, from flat-screen televisions and complimentary Wi-Fi service to in-room espresso machines and luxurious bath amenities.
“To experience Dominica like never before”
“Bringing this project to fruition is another remarkable milestone for Kempinski Hotels,” said Michael Schoonewagen, general manager, Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica. “We are especially proud of this property because it will give travellers the chance to experience Dominica like never before by bringing together the timeless opulence of Kempinski with the destination’s pristine, untouched landscape to create a transcendent experience where luxury meets nature.”
Kathmandu Marriott Hotel
Kathmandu Marriott Hotel has opened in the historic capital city, marking the debut of the flagship brand in Nepal.
The 214 rooms feature streamlined Marriott Modern design complemented with premium elegance and intuitive technology. The traditional desk is replaced by flexible surfaces enabling space for work and relaxation. Meanwhile, a soft seating nesting nook allows guests to look out onto verdant greenery and the majestic Himalayan mountain ranges that lend an impressive sense of place.
“We are proud to introduce our flagship brand in the beautiful kingdom of Nepal. The country welcomed one million tourist arrivals in 2018, reaching a new record to show that this country has great tourism potential,” said Neeraj Govil, area vice president, South Asia, Marriott International. “The hotel will offer our guests brilliant stays in Kathmandu, stimulating guests with cultural experiences that speak to their inventive nature.”
Six Senses Loire Valley
Just over a 90-minute drive south of Paris is Loire Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage region renowned for historic chateaux, medieval towns, fine wines, great food and unspoiled landscape. At the heart of the region sits the village of Saint-Laurent-Nouan, which will be home to Six Senses Loire Valley.
Scheduled to open on May 2022, the resort sits within the Les Bordes Estate, a 1,400-acre (560-hectare) site in the Sologne forest, home to Les Bordes Golf Club, one of the most prestigious golf clubs in the world. The development will incorporate equestrian and tennis centres, an organic farm, an art gallery, a petting farm, a natural swimming lake with beach, water sports, biking and walking trails and an abundance of additional activities for children and adults alike.
Whilst the golf club’s two 18-hole courses will remain fully private, hotel guests will have access to the new Gil Hanse-designed par three course and a new state-of-the-art golf practice facility.
