Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort
Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort, a 152-room and 61-villa five-star property within easy reach of Ho Chi Minh City, will celebrate its grand opening in April. The resort is Meliá Hotels International’s first property to open in southern Vietnam under the Meliá Hotels and Resorts brand and the fourth in the country.
Surrounded by mangrove forests and the Ray River, Meliá Ho Tram Beach Resort enjoys an average temperature of 28 degrees Celsius year-round and is within close proximity of the Greg Norman-designed Bluffs Ho Tram Strip golf course, Phuoc Buu Nature Reserve and Binh Chau Hot Springs.
“Where the well-heeled flock for a getaway”
“Ho Tram is fast developing a reputation as Ho Chi Minh City’s answer to New York’s Hamptons, Rome’s Naples and Sydney’s Blue Mountains; a go-to retreat where the well-heeled flock for a getaway that’s close by, upscale and restorative,” said the resort’s general manager Manuel Ferriol Argent.
The Sarasota Modern
Tribute Portfolio, Marriott International’s newest collection brand, has announced the opening of The Sarasota Modern, which officially opened its doors in the heart of downtown Sarasota, Florida within the epicentre of the urban Rosemary District. With European inspired design details, the hotel features 89 guestrooms with indoor and outdoor living features, as well as two aqua pools and a hot spa.
A custom, vintage Volkswagen Bus provides rides for guests within a three-mile radius, including downtown Sarasota and admired Lido Key Beach.
Holiday Inn & Suites Dandenong
Headlining a mixed-use development that includes two levels of office space, the 160-room, design-led Holiday Inn & Suites Dandenong will rise to 11 levels when it opens in 2021, affording great views of the city. It will offer guests an all-day dining and bar experience, a gym, conference and meeting facilities, and retail shopping via separate access. It will also feature a long stay suite component targeting the corporate traveller who is looking to stay for extended periods.
IHG has put a focus on regional Australian growth, with several Holiday Inn signings across the country, including in Wagga Wagga, Geelong, Ringwood, and Melbourne Werribee, as well as opening Holiday Inn Sydney St Marys in 2018.
Hyatt Place Saigon Phu Nhuan
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced to develop a Hyatt Place hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. The new 200-key Hyatt Place Saigon Phu Nhuan will be the first Hyatt Place hotel in Vietnam.
The hotel will reside in the Phu Nhuan district, which is considered the geographical centre of Ho Chi Minh City due to its central location and accessibility from all the surrounding areas.
Conveniently located about a mile from the Tan Son Nhat International Airport and less than three miles from the city’s CBD, Hyatt Place Saigon Phu Nhuan will provide guests with convenient access to financial hubs and local attractions.
