The football season is back with a bang at Manchester’s famous Hotel Football. The latest forecasts from the hotel, co-founded by former England player Gary Neville, reveal over 26,000 guests are expected to stay at the Old Trafford venue during the season ahead.
The hotel’s bar and restaurant, Cafe Football, is also lining up for a busy year ahead predicting it will serve over 22,360 breakfasts to guests, and pour over 30,810 pints of Madri beer for fans watching a range of sports at the venue.
Sitting adjacent to the city’s Old Trafford stadium, the home of Manchester United, and only a ten minute walk from the city’s Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground, the sports themed hotel is also anticipating serving 600 breakfast, lunches and dinners each United matchday for fans dining at the cafe.
The statistics go on to predict that over 17,680 rooms will be cleaned and over 30,680 pillowcases changed, leading to one of the busiest years for the hotel.
A must for any sports fan, the 133-bedroom hotel was opened in 2015 and boasts the UK’s only hotel rooftop 5-a-side football pitch, as well as a Games Zone for children, while each of the 133 guestrooms benefit from a 40-inch plasma TV with all Sky Sports channels, bathrooms with rain-effect showers, air conditioning and complimentary drinks and snacks.
Chris Hull, General Manager at Hotel Football, commented on the forecasts: “With the timing shifts of last season and a busy summer of sport with the women’s World Cup, we’re already well prepared for the influx of guests we’re expecting at Hotel Football during the season ahead.
“We are very proud to offer a number of different experiences both for matchday dining and for stays at the hotel, and we are confident that Hotel Football will continue to position itself as the number one sports hotel in the UK. We can’t wait to welcome our guests, whichever team they support, for the season ahead.”
To celebrate the start of the new football season, the hotel has relaunched its exclusive Matchday Experiences (from £65 per person). As the perfect add-on for fans and families already attending a match, Matchday Experience guests benefit from pre and post match hospitality, including a three-course dining menu, an arrival glass of fizz, complimentary beers, wines and soft drinks and the Official Matchday Programme.
They will also get to hear from a Manchester United legend in an exclusive Q&A (previous guests have included Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and Gary Neville) before heading off to watch the team in action, or staying to watch televised games across the Hotel’s multiple big screens in Cafe Football.
For guests wanting tickets to Manchester United matches, Match Ticket packages are also available including the hotly anticipated Manchester derby (Manchester United vs Manchester City) and Manchester United vs Arsenal.
