The Communication Group plc is delighted to announce its appointment by Vialattea, an Italian-French ski resort in the Piedmont region, to handle its UK public relations. Vialattea is among Europe’s largest ski resorts, comprising of 8 distinct locations in the Piedmont region: Sestriere, Sauze d’Oulx, Sansicario, Cesana, Claviere, Pragelato, Oulx and Montgenèvre. With its highest point at 2,800m and a total of 400km of skiable area across 250 slopes, Vialattea caters to skiers and snowboarders of all abilities, with ample area for beginners to find their feet, while also being home to a high number of red runs for intermediate skiers and allowing expert skiers to follow in the tracks of the great champions. Notably, Vialattea has hosted a number of prestigious sporting events over the years, including the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics.
Vialattea’s relative affordability and ease of access is a big draw for travellers, and makes it particularly appealing to families and younger skiers. The resort’s nearest airport is Turin Caselle, but it is also well connected to Milan Malpensa, Milan Linate and Genoa City Airport, as well as being easily accessible by road and rail.
The Communication Group plc will handle the UK public relations for Vialattea, with the initial primary aim of launching the resort to the UK media, as well as attending a number of travel and ski trade shows and supporting its relationships with travel trade partners.
