Japan is set to launch a six-month digital nomad visa in late March, offering remote workers the opportunity to work and stay in the country for an extended period. The visa will be accessible to remote workers earning a minimum annual income of YEN 10 million (approximately USD 66,400) from 49 countries and territories, including the United States, Singapore, and Australia.

While immediate extensions won’t be granted upon visa expiration, digital nomads can reapply for the visa six months after departing from Japan, fostering the possibility of extended stays.
