KAYAK and Impala are joining forces to add 200,000 hotel rooms from Impala’s hotel portfolio, available on KAYAK and its brands globally through its direct booking platform.
According to KAYAK, hotels remain a popular form of accommodation with about a 17% increase in searches over the summer* compared to 2021. More specifically, Impala found First Class (4 star) properties were a favourite with travellers, and the most requested amenities were gyms, room service and on-site restaurants.
Rachel Hafner, VP Global Hotels at KAYAK: “Hotels are favoured by many travellers, and the addition of Impala’s hotel inventory increases the choice for our users with new, differentiated accommodation providers. Especially in destinations where demand is outgrowing supply, such as the UK, Italy and the Middle East.”
Impala’s hotel inventory will be featured across KAYAK and its travel meta search brands SWOODOO, checkfelix, momondo, Cheapflights, Mundi and HotelsCombined, spanning more than 60+ countries and territories.
Impala’s partners can now get direct bookings through KAYAK, while KAYAK users will have access to First Class and luxury hotel chains, such as Top Hotels International, Como Hotels and Small Luxury Hotels of the World, plus a wide range of hotels in all star categories.
Ben Stephenson, founder & CEO of Impala: “We are proud to lead the trend of Open Distribution and are delighted to partner with KAYAK to enable more hotels to be featured across valuable meta search platforms, which will bring new opportunities and revenue.”
