Headed to Aspen this summer? Don’t leave your dog behind. The entire town is extremely dog friendly, but for affordable luxe and great amenities in the heart of town we love the Limelight. Especially if traveling with pup.
This summer the contemporary 126-room hotel is serving up a bevy of new programs, including new amenities for pets. During their stay, canine guests will now have a colorful dog bed, metal water bowl and a collapsible and glow-in-the-dark Limelight logoed food bowl at their disposal — if you want to keep any of these items, however, you must purchase them separately. Additionally, pups are given a Limelight logoed dog tag and gift back from the Only Natural pet store that they may keep.
Beyond the new dog amenities, the Limelight is also debuting a host of other new adventures, including a Limelight branded paraglider in conjunction with Aspen Paragliding. This summer guests will be able to use the hotel’s paraglider when soaring with Aspen Paragliding. During the summer, tandem flights are scheduled three times a day and costs $275 per person.
Additionally the Limelight is introducing picnic baskets for guests to purchase in two themes: Day Trip or Afternoon Indulgence. Each features a different selection of premium produce from fresh sandwiches to jars of olives and pork belly rillettes. The property is also expanding its popular beer dinner series to include a harvest dinner series that will focus on seasonal food from local farms that showcase the best of Colorado cooking. The courses will then be paired with featured selections from Colorado breweries and distilleries. In addition, two wine dinners have been added to the schedule this summer. Beer/Wine dinner’s cost $45 per person and the Grand Slam Dinner (that features a distillery as well) costs $65 per person. Dinners start at 7 p.m.
These are just a few of the adventures the hotel has lined up, others include a new Oktoberfest celebration, complimentary SUP boarding at the Northstar Nature Preserve on Aspen’s east side, sangria flights in the Limelight Lounge and a visiting summer series art collection.
