Lufthansa launches daily Munich-Bangkok flight with the high-tech Airbus A350-900

Following the news earlier this week that Lufthansa had invested up to USD 3 billion on the development of its fleet, the German carrier has announced it will be introducing the Airbus A350-900 onto a new daily route between Munich and Bangkok in Thailand.

The Airbus A350 – 900 features 48 business class, 21 premium economy and 224 economy seat types. The A350-900’s Economy Class offers the customer additional comfort with seats that feature a range of new ergonomically-formed upholstery as well as more storage space for personal items.

In addition, the Airbus A350-900’s ingenious design means that it consumes 25% less fuel and comes with 25% fewer emissions and 50% less noise than any other long haul aircraft currently on the market. All of this, combined with an innovative on-board lighting system which reacts to the biorhythms of passengers, makes the A350-900 one of the most advanced commercial planes in the world.

Discussing the new route which, according to Lufthansa, will add an extra 2000 seats to its network, Stefan Molnar, GM for sales in Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines and the Mekong Region at Lufthansa, said: “I am very happy to bring another great news shortly after we have introduced Lufthansa’s flagship Airbus A380 to the market. With the right aircraft type and growing demand out of Thailand, adding Bangkok – Munich service definitely complements our existing Lufthansa Group schedules out of Thailand.

“Strengthen the connection between two vibrant and relevant cities”

We are now able to offer our customers another possibility to fly to Europe via the five-star Munich hub and thereby strengthen the connection between two vibrant and relevant cities. In total, Lufthansa Group has 31 weekly frequencies out of Thailand to Europe.”
