Rajasthan Tourism made a significant impact at the prestigious World Travel Market (WTM) 2024 in London, held from November 5-7. Led by Rakesh Sharma, Additional Director of the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan,  the delegation showcased Rajasthan’s unique tourism offerings to a global audience.

Renowned for its rich cultural heritage, palatial architecture, and vibrant arts,  Rajasthan’s participation at WTM aimed to position the state as a must-visit destination  for international travellers seeking unique experiences.

The Rajasthan Tourism stand was inaugurated by Vikram K.  Doraiswami, High Commissioner of India to the United Kingdom, along with Pravati  Parida, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Odisha; Rohan Khaunte, Hon’ble Tourism  Minister of Goa; Mugdha Sinha, Director General, Ministry of Tourism, Government  of India; and other dignitaries.

Rakesh Sharma of the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan, also  welcomed visits from the Hon’ble Tourism Minister of India, Gajendra Singh  Shekhawat, and other dignitaries.

During a special presentation at the Rajasthan Tourism stand, Sharma highlighted  the state’s diverse attractions, from the camel fairs and sand dunes of the Thar Desert  to the architectural splendour of its historic forts and palaces. The presentation  underscored Rajasthan’s commitment to sustainable tourism and its efforts to enhance  accessibility for global visitors, solidifying its place as one of India’s top tourism  destinations.

“WTM London is a prestigious platform, and our goal here is to promote Rajasthan as a  destination that combines heritage with unforgettable experiences,” said Sharma.  “We are focused on ensuring that travellers have the chance to immerse themselves in  our unique culture and history.”

The Rajasthan Tourism stand attracted significant interest, with tour operators, travel  agents, and media representatives exploring partnership opportunities to promote the  state.
