The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has reaffirmed its readiness to serve travellers wishing to attend the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar in November. The directorate added that it has deployed international air and land ports with competent officials and advanced gadgets to help travellers complete their procedures with ease.
It said that people seeking to attend the World Cup matches and accompanying events must follow procedures set by the competent Qatari authorities, until 23 December 2022, through land and airports leading to Qatar.
Except for Qatari nationals and residents who possess a Qatari ID card, the entry is restricted to Hayya card holders. The directorate noted that citizens, residents, and tourists who have a Hayya card and wish to travel to Qatar to attend the World Cup can contact the Unified Security Operations Centre (911) to ask for instructions. All beneficiaries can visit the website of the unified platform HereForYou.sa, which aims to provide the necessary information to ensure a smooth journey for those wishing to attend the World Cup matches from within the Kingdom, in addition to visitors coming to the Kingdom.
