No more pre-departure test requirements to Singapore for all fully vaccinated travellers

Singapore has announced plans to further ease its COVID-19 travel requirements.

From 26 April, all fully vaccinated travellers and non-fully vaccinated children aged 12 and under arriving by land, air or sea checkpoints will no longer be required to take a pre-departure test prior to arrival in Singapore. With this move, fully vaccinated travellers can enter Singapore, quarantine-free, without the requirement for any tests (pre-departure or on-arrival).

While fully vaccinated travellers will be exempt from testing requirements, all non-fully vaccinated travellers* are required to take a pre-departure test within two days before departure for Singapore, undergo a 7-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN), and take a PCR COVID-19 test at the end of their SHN period.

Michael Rodriguez, area director Northern & Southwestern Europe at Singapore Tourism Board commented, “Following the successful launch of the Vaccinated Travel Framework[1] earlier this month and with the removal of pre-departure testing requirements, we are excited to welcome fully vaccinated travellers back to experience a reimagined Singapore. Our Ministry of Health has continued to monitor the local and global COVID-19 situation and has taken a measured approach to gradually easing restrictions to allow for safe travel. We have so much to share with visitors this year including the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix, Singapore Food Festival and Gardens by the Bay’s 10th anniversary.”

The latest border requirements can be found on the SafeTravel website. Travellers are strongly advised to visit the website to check the latest border measures before entering Singapore and should be prepared to adhere to the prevailing border measures upon entry into Singapore.
