
The Star Alliance Jubilee night recently held in commemoration of its 25th Anniversary at Gaysorn Urban Resort, Bangkok. Korakot Chatasingha, chief commercial officer, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), as Star Alliance Country Steering Council Thailand chairman, Jeffrey Goh, chief executive officer, Star Alliance, and member airline executives participated in the event.

THAI, as one of the five founding members, joined this event to enhance its network and cooperation with member airline executives, corporate clients and agents. Jeffrey Goh, CEO, Star Alliance, Wit Kitchathorn, THAI director, sales, and Anlee Do, general manager for Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines & the Mekong region, Lufthansa, joined the panel discussion session held in this event. Topics of the discussion include connectivity enhancement among member airlines, 2023 passenger forecast, sustainability, as well as the environmental aspects of the aviation industry such as net-zero carbon emission goal and joint decarbonisation efforts.

The Star Alliance network, established on 14 May 1997, is the first truly global airline alliance with 26 member airlines and two Connecting Partners serving over 10,000 daily flights to almost 1,200 airports in 184 countries. Under the new tagline TOGETHER.BETTER.CONNECTED, Star Alliance strives to improve customer experiences with its seamless connectivity as well as initiatives such as airport co-location, digital infrastructure, frequent flyer integration and joint airport lounges.
