Air Astana launched its inaugural service between Almaty to Astana on 15th May 2002 and has gone from strength to strength over the past 22 years.

The carrier has grown dramatically since the first service was operated between Almaty and Astana in 2002 and has steadily built a reputation for award winning customer service, operational efficiency, high safety standards and consistent profitably without the support of shareholders or government funding.

From 18 March 2023, Air Astana will resume flights from Astana to Beijing with a frequency of two per week on Wednesdays and Saturdays and a further increase set for summer.

Flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, announced the resumption of flights to Shymkent International Airport (CIT) from 28 February with a twice-weekly service. 

flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, has announced the resumption of operations to Ashgabat in Turkmenistan. Flights to Ashgabat International Airport (ASB) will commence with a twice-weekly service from 23 January 2023.

FlyDubai Airlines plans to operate an additional ten flights on the Astana-Dubai and Almaty-Dubai routes from Dec. 29 to Jan. 14 next year, reported the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure on Dec. 28.
