Indonesian airport closes after runway incident

One of Indonesia’s biggest airports was forced to suspend operations on Thursday after an aircraft skidded off the runway while landing. The Jakarta Post reports that the Garuda Indonesia jet was attempting to land in heavy rain when it left the runway at Adi Sutjipto International Airport in Yogyakarta.
