Urasaya Beachfront Residences, a luxurious collection of pool villas nestled on the shores of Sichon Beach in Southern Thailand has been awarded two prestigious honours at the 18th PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards as it continues to raise the bar for tourism and real estate in the emerging destination.
At a glittering gala ceremony in Bangkok on Friday 17th November 2023, the developer, Urasaya Property, won awards in the “Best Residential Architectural Design (Greater Samui)” and “Best Residential Development (Greater Samui)” categories.
Located on Thailand’s gulf coast, just steps from the sands of Sichon Beach – named as one of the top 10 beaches in Thailand by Lonely Planet – and only 35 minutes’ drive from newly-opened Nakhon Si Thammarat International Airport, the timely recognition of the pioneering development comes just months ahead of the launch of its phase two in Q1 2024.
Conceived by Oracle Architects, Urasaya Beachfront Residences is a timeless expression of modernity, elegance and tradition, with a responsible ethos at its core. One- and two-storey villas offer sweeping uninterrupted views of the ocean complimented by five-star resort-style community facilities including a clubhouse, pool, fitness centre and spa, a farm-to-table restaurant and beachfront bar.

The development employs energy-efficient architecture, sustainable materials, solar power and water conservation measures. It has partnered with local artists to integrate authentic designs into the interiors and actively supports conservation efforts for the protection of the area’s population of rare pink dolphins. The destination also features first generation rain forest-clad mountain ranges, swathes of sandy beaches and Thailand’s oldest Buddhist temple, Wat Phra Mahatat.

“We are deeply honoured to have won these important accolades,” said Ravi Chandran, the former CEO of Laguna Phuket who is now executive director to Urasaya Property. “The PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards are the gold standard for architecture and real estate in the kingdom, so to win two titles is an outstanding achievement.”

Established in 2005, the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards are the longest-running real estate awards programme in the country. Pre-sales for Urasaya Beachfront Residences’ phase two will commence in January 2024, ahead of the project’s official launch in March 2024.
