Vietjet was honoured with the “Pioneering Airline Award” at The Guide Awards 2017, held on 6 October 2017. Conducted by Vietnam Economic Time’s, The Guide Magazine, the airline was recognised for its numerous contributions to the development of the Vietnamese tourism industry. 

The Guide Awards 2017 which was themed, “Green Tourism for a Green Economy”, took place in Phu Quoc Island, where tourism issues were addressed comprehensively to ensure green values ​​and ascertain sustainable development.

As a new age airline, Vietjet is environmentally conscious and has developed various programs to protect and improve the environment. The airline has collaborated with reputable aircraft manufacturers such as Boeing to put into operation a fuel saving fleet with reduced noise and carbon emissions.
