Global hospitality brand YOTEL opened its doors in Edinburgh this week, marking the brand’s first city centre opening in Europe and the first of five YOTEL’s slated to open in the next nine months across the continent.
Following the success of the group in cities such as New York, Boston, San Francisco and Singapore, YOTEL Edinburgh will offer a hotel experience driven by sleek minimalistic design and clever use of technology for those who appreciate quality but don’t need the fuss of a traditional luxury hotel or the hefty price tag of many boutique hotels.
“We now introduce YOTEL to the historic city of Edinburgh. The city is both a popular tourist and business hub and we think our innovative style of hospitality, technology-driven experiences and contemporary design will suit global travellers and in-the-know locals looking for something new and exciting. YOTEL is like nothing else and will offer an exciting alternative to the more traditional hotel offering in the city,” said Hubert Viriot, CEO of YOTEL.
With an enviable central location on Queen Street, close to the city’s world-famous historic hotspots and the charming neighbourhood of Stockbridge, YOTEL Edinburgh has 276 compact cabins. In a first for Scotland, the hotel also brings Imaginex, a state-of-the-art, 360-degree projection space providing a unique opportunity for film screenings, social events, product launches and meetings.
Stuart Douglas, general manager of YOTEL Edinburgh said: “A stay at YOTEL is all about intuitive service and saving our guests time so that they can get on with things that are important to them.”
