Dusit International, Thailand’s hospitality company, is breathing new life into Bangkok’s urban landscape with the creation of Dusit Central Park. A once-in-a-generation real estate project that integrates luxury with nature in a way that will enhance and harmonise urban lifestyles in Bangkok.
“At Dusit International, we take our environmental and social responsibilities very seriously. Our company is on a sustainability mission to improve the lives of residents and visitors in Bangkok, and Dusit Central Park is at the heart of this strategy. Our team has worked closely with leading architects and landscape designers to create a 1.1-hectare rooftop park where everyone can relax and reconnect with nature.
With its carefully selected foliage of air-cleansing plants, social areas and shady walkways, this landmark project will reshape the Bangkok skyline and enrich the quality of life for residents. Our overall aim is for Dusit Central Park to help Bangkokians live in harmony with nature and improve their physical, mental and spiritual health,” said Suphajee Suthumpun, chief executive officer of Dusit International Group.
Nestled on a 3.7-hectare plot of super-prime real estate in the epicentre of Bangkok, overlooking the “green lungs” of Lumpini Park, Dusit Central Park will redefine the skyline and elevate the living standards of owners, visitors and local residents alike. With a total construction area of over 400,000 square metres, this integrated project will comprise a four-building cluster – the five-star Dusit Thai Hotel, two luxurious private residences (Dusit Residences & Dusit Parkside), premium “Grade A” Central Park Offices, and the Central Park premium retail complex – all connected by the spectacular 11,200-square metre Roof Park sky garden.
Ascending 20 metres from the 3rd floor to the 7th floor, the Roof Park will immerse residents in an inviting landscape of lush foliage, tropical flowers, shady trees, rippling ponds and soothing waterfalls. Separate zones will be dedicated to different purposes, including a workout zone with a 753-meter-long jogging track, an exhibition area, a live music zone, a water feature, picnic zone, playground, dog-friendly area and various viewpoints that overlook Lumpini Park and the Bangkok skyline. Guests can unwind, stay active and enjoy regular open-air cultural events such as art exhibitions, music performances, movie screenings, cultural workshops and more.
Thousands of indigenous tropical plants have been scrupulously selected for their air-filtering properties. These will help to absorb dust and pollution particles from PM 2.5 up to PM 10, while also boosting oxygen levels in the atmosphere. Appearing to merge seamlessly with the lawns and lakes of Lumpini Park, this stunning sky garden will create an extended expanse of verdure, visible from across the city, helping Bangkok to become cleaner, greener and more sustainable.
Standing 69 storeys high at the intersection of Silom and Rama IV roads, on the doorstep of Bangkok’s most prominent business and entertainment districts, Dusit Residences & Dusit Parkside will become an iconic address, akin to the luxurious apartments that surround Central Park in New York City and Hyde Park in London. This project will not only provide a visual link to Lumpini Park, however; it will be physically connected via a new tunnel being constructed under Rama IV Road.
Creating a better quality of life is an integral part of the project. Residents will be able to breathe clean air thanks to advanced HEPA filtration systems, while a wide range of facilities such as a swimming pool, jet pool, children’s pool, fitness centre, steam room, sauna, library lounge will boost physical health and mental wellbeing, while also creating a deep community spirit.
The creation of the Roof Park at Dusit Central Park forms part of Dusit International’s “Here for Bangkok” philosophy. Perfectly positioned in the city’s CBD, where the vibrant districts of Silom, Sukhumvit and Sathorn converge, the THB 46 billion (USD 1.27 billion) Dusit Central Park project is further enhanced with direct connectivity to the BTS Skytrain and MRT subway networks, offering emission-free transport links that put the entire city within easy reach. Upon completion in 2025, it will attract visitors from all corners of the world and become a destination for local people and tourists alike.
