Travel Counsellors (TCs) celebrated sales success with a dinner at the five-star Fairmont Windsor Park Hotel on Sunday. The company rewarded its 226 Gold TCs in the UK (252 globally), who have between them in the past 12 months sold £373.5m (approx. USd448.35m) of total sales.
More than 140 Travel Counsellors, including 36 ‘new-to-Gold’ franchisees were treated to a night of entertainment and food as the company celebrated all that Gold status TCs have achieved. Some of those achievements include TCs who achieved Gold having joined Travel Counsellors just prior to the pandemic, a TC who achieved Gold again after being a TC for 19yrs, and many TCs who actively embarked upon the ‘Going for Gold’ training and support to help them to become top sellers within the industry.
Jim Eastwood, global sales director at Travel Counsellors comments: “We had a great turn out for our Gold celebration event at an absolutely stunning property. We love spending time with our TCs, recognising great achievements, and reflecting on a record-breaking past 12 months. We now have the highest number of Gold franchisees ever and it was a pleasure to reward even more New-to-Gold TCs. Just like Travel Counsellors, ‘Gold’ is for everyone who is passionate about Travel and those who care more than anyone else for their Leisure customers and Corporate clients.
“No matter how they run their business this event shows success comes in different shapes and sizes, with 80 per cent of UK Gold TCs now working together using TC Teams, a global platform that allows individuals to team up, promoting and encouraging peer-to-peer support and knowledge-sharing. Our Gold TCs are all leaders within our community and continue to lead by example.”
In order to achieve gold status Travel Counsellors need to hit a minimum level of sales over the year. Gold TCs will also be invited to attend one of a choice of 4 Gold Trips scheduled for later this year, to more stunning locations dotted around the wonderful world of Travel.
Travel Counsellors were also joined by supplier, sponsor partners including Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Qatar Airways, Accor, Rixos Hotels, Royal Pavilion, Fairmont St Andrews, Sofitel – Dubai the Palm.
