Thai Airways International (THAI) held its board of directors meeting where it passed a resolution to appoint Chakkrit Parapuntakul, second vice chairman of THAI to be acting president from 23 March 2020.
Parapuntakul will be supervising the implementation of the company’s reform plans as well as setting measures to tackle the COVID-19 situation.
In addition, there was an evaluation of COVID-19 impact in order to prepare and deal with the situation accordingly. The airline has urged passengers, alliances, business partners, shareholders and staff to have confidence in the company and be ensured that the company will overcome the crisis.
