Delhi elections 2020: SpiceJet offers ‘free tickets’ to flyers who want to vote

Budget carrier SpiceJet has started an initiative to enable voters to fly home so that they can cast their vote for the upcoming Delhi elections.

In this ‘Spice Democracy’ initiative, the airline stated that if the departure to Delhi and return from the city is on 8 February (voting day), the full basic rate on both tickets will be reimbursed.

Ajay Singh, chairman and managing director of SpiceJet said: “Voting is a big part of democracy and unfortunately a lot of our working population who live away from their homes are unable to exercise this right. Now, we will give voters of Delhi, an opportunity like never before to fly home to cast their vote. We will fly you home from anywhere in India and your tickets will be on us.”
