Tourism to be boosted between Oman and Philippines

The Philippines Embassy in Muscat has announced that representatives of two Filipino travel and tour companies are looking to promote two-way tourism exchange.

CCT 168 Travel & Tours and Profil Holidays – Tours & Travel Corporation have at least 30 years’ experience in the travel business and strong exposure in the Middle East market. Both companies plan to work with travel operators in the sultanate to offer tour packages that will encourage more tourists to visit the Philippines. The representatives also met officials in the Ministry of Tourism to explore the Omani market.

H E Castaneda, the Ambassador welcomed the initiative saying that this will boost tourism between the two countries. A statement said: “The embassy believes there is great potential in developing the market especially in the high-end spectrum.”

The two firms plan to launch the first group package by November. The programme titled ‘Yallah Philippines’ (Let’s go, Philippines) will include visits to Manila and Boracay as well as medical tourism and investment components.
