Hainan Airlines launches its first-ever direct passenger route from Shenzen to Budapest on 2 August, making the Hungarian capital its tenth major international destination.

Opening this route provides more travel options for passengers travelling between China and Europe. It is also seen as a way to foster better relations between China and Hungary.

To and fro twice a week

Hainan Airlines proposed two round-trip flights a week for the route’s debut.

Outbound flights from Shenzen Bao’an Airport to Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport are scheduled for Mondays and Fridays. Return flights are slated to run on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Outbound flight time is estimated at 11 hours and 50 minutes, while return flights may take 11 hours and ten minutes.
