Hainan Airlines successfully flew the initial flight of its new Haikou-Moscow route on 26th August, taking off from the Haikou Melian International Airport at 02.38 local time.

The flight of HU765 to Moscow marked the official opening of Hainan Airlines’ first direct international route from Haikou to Russia, as well as the airline’s 12th international and regional route out of the city.

The new route is expected to play a pivotal role in promoting economic development and cultural exchanges between Haikou and Moscow; further promote the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port; and establish a dynamic new era in China-Russia relations.

Flying out thrice a week

The Haikou-Moscow international route now flies thrice a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The outbound flight is scheduled to take off from Haikou Meilan International Airport at 02:30 Beijing time and arrive at Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport at 07:40 local time.

The return flight takes off from Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport at 14:25 local time and arrives at Haikou Meilan International Airport at 05:00 Beijing time the next day.
