We’ve met Siri on iOS. We’ve met Alexa on Android. And now, say hello to Angie – a voice-activated, guest-room assistant for the hotel environment.

In a nutshell, Angie is an interactive hotel room assistant that helps hotel guests – from booking Uber rides to ordering in-room services. It will debut in Sydney at the upcoming NoVacancy Accommodation Business Expo and it’s the world’s first cloud-powered, interactive guest-room assistant, created just for hotels.

At the event, Angie will demonstrate its power and potential when it comes to giving automated services.

It provides round-the-clock services to hotel guests and it helps the staff, too. Angie responds to requests via its high-resolution interactive touchscreen or through pre-established voice commands.

With Angie, you’ll never have to get up when the room gets too cold, or when you’re too sleepy to turn on the TV. You can even ask it to set the mood by dimming the lights and playing your favourite tune. You can sync your mobile device with Angie by connecting it using Bluetooth technology.

Developed by Angie Hospitality, the purpose-built device was designed to improve the guest experience in the hotel industry by providing a modern solution to in-room services. This new technology will cater to the customers’ need for personalization and automation.

In addition to the features offered to hotel guests, it will also improve the operational efficiency of hotels.

For example, its high-resolution screen may serve as a digital signage, replacing the printed in-room directory. And furthermore, it can also act as an energy management system that recognizes unoccupied rooms. It’s able to control the air temperature and lighting system, lowering utility costs and making the hotel more economically sustainable.

These features will not only benefit hotels and its guests, but it will also be a great benefit to the environment.

Angie has numerous capabilities and it has the potential to make a significant impact on the guest experience and the hotel industry in general. As a matter of fact, this new technological concept has already been recognized and was given the 2017 TechOvation Award.

Angie Hospitality is already offering Angie to hotels in North America and Europe and has plans to expand globally later this year.

The NoVacancy Accommodation Business Expo will take place on 17-18 July 2018 at the ICC Sydney Exhibition Centre – Darling Harbour.

It’s a free-to-attend tradeshow with more than 150 vendors and suppliers that will be showcasing their products and services, which are focused on the accommodation industry. It’s expecting more than 2000 accommodation professionals at the two-day event.
