IHG Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of the Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar.
This is the second property under the Hotel Indigo brand to open in Indonesia
Hotel general manager Pascal Caubo said of the property: “Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar is a tribute to the rich tapestry of Sundanese culture and the natural splendour of Bandung. We are thrilled to open the doors to a retreat where every detail reflects the vibrant spirit and natural beauty of this beloved neighbourhood.”
Much like other hotels under the luxury-centric Hotel Indigo brand, this new outpost draws vibrant inspiration and energy from local culture, immersing guests in authentic experiences, whilst establishing strong ties with its host community.
With this ethos at its core, Hotel Indigo Bandung Dago Pakar brings the essence of the destination to life through its unique sights, sounds, and flavours.
A cultural infusion
Located 700 metres above sea level, the hotel offers a tranquil escape amidst the lush greenery and morning mists of Bandung.
Inspired by the local Sundanese word “Dagoan” or “to wait”, the hotel reflects the warm hospitality guests can expect as they explore the Dago Pakar neighbourhood.
The hotel’s design integrates traditional Sundanese motifs and nature elements, such as cascading waterfalls, classic Bandung batiks, and folklore inspired by the nearby Tangkuban Perahu mountain.
Its 277 rooms and suites blend local charm with contemporary comfort, and the lobby, encased in floor-to-ceiling windows, showcases the picturesque views of the surrounding vistas.
Something for everyone
Additional amenities include Bandung’s highest rooftop infinity pool which offers stunning views of the Dago Pakar vistas, and Kancil Club where children can play and be engaged with traditional Sundanese games and activities.
Nine stylish meeting rooms along with a spacious Grand Ballroom equipped with state-of-the-art technology will also be available later in the year; perfect for events ranging from intimate gatherings to large weddings.
