The world’s first Hotel Indigo in a resort location opens in Bali this month.
The launch of the Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach marks a significant evolution for the brand, which was initially devised for urban locations. Seminyak however, with its collection of trendy bars and boutiques, is a good fit for Hotel Indigo, which aims to deliver boutique hotels that reflect the culture of their destination.
Spread across 4.7 hectares of land on Seminyak’s Mesari Beach, Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach offers 270 rooms and suites, plus 19 villas with private outdoor swimming pools, each of which is designed to resemble a traditional Balinese house.
Facilities at the property include a large lobby space featuring local artworks, a spa with 10 treatment rooms, a 24-hour health club, and seven F&B outlets including a restaurant that showcases Balinese cuisine and a 400-pax beachfront bar and restaurant, which is expected to launch later this year. The hotel will also include a pottery-making workshop.
“Our inspiration has been to weave the flavours of Seminyak into our hotel, not only with our design but throughout the whole experience,” said Guillaume Epinette, GM of the Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach. “The result is a design-led property that reflects the changing tastes of today’s affluent travellers, who not only aspire to enjoy a relaxing escape, but also crave new inspiration.
“We’re certain that every fascinating detail on their journey of discovery through fashionable Seminyak neighbourhood will deliver that,” he added.
The new property will become the first Hotel Indigo in Indonesia and the third in Southeast Asia, following existing locations in Bangkok and Singapore.
