Norwegian Cruise Line® (NCL), a leader in global cruise travel, has just unveiled its latest marvel, the Norwegian Luna. This new addition to the Prima Plus Class fleet is now open for bookings and will debut in March 2026 with seven-day Caribbean voyages departing from Miami, the world’s cruise capital.
A Celestial Experience
The Norwegian Luna will feature stunning celestial hull art inspired by the reflection of moonlight on the sea, created by celebrated street artist ELLE. This vibrant dreamscape, titled ‘La Luna,’ will adorn the bow of the ship, symbolising humanity’s deep connection with the moon and the ocean tides.
Inaugural Caribbean Season
Starting April 4, 2026, Norwegian Luna will embark on its inaugural Caribbean season with two western itineraries, visiting Roatan Island, Honduras; Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; and Harvest Caye, Belize. Following these, the ship will sail seven-day cruises to Eastern Caribbean destinations, including Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; and Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s private island in the Bahamas, which will feature a brand-new pier by late 2025.
Enhanced Features and Amenities
At 1,056 feet long and 156,300 gross tons, Norwegian Luna will accommodate approximately 3,550 guests at double occupancy, boasting a 10 percent size and capacity increase from its Prima Class predecessors. Designed as a twin sister ship to Norwegian Aqua, Norwegian Luna will feature innovative amenities such as the NCL-exclusive Aqua Slidecoaster, a hybrid rollercoaster and waterslide, and the Glow Court, a digital sports complex that transforms into a nightclub in the evening.
Luxurious Accommodations
Norwegian Luna will introduce the all-new Three-Bedroom Duplex Haven Suites in The Haven by Norwegian®, the brand’s premium keycard-access-only complex. These expansive two-story suites will offer separate living and dining areas, three bathrooms, a balcony, three bedrooms, 24-hour butler service, and a dedicated concierge team.
Dining and Entertainment
Guests can look forward to various dining and bar experiences, including the new Thai specialty restaurant Sukhothai and the Indulge Food Hall with ten different food stations. Returning favourites include Cagney’s Steakhouse, Le Bistro, and Onda by Scarpetta. For drinks, guests can enjoy the Whiskey Bar, Belvedere Bar, and the award-winning Metropolitan cocktail bar.
David J. Herrera, President of Norwegian Cruise Line, said, “Inspired by the relationship between the moon and the tides of the ocean, we are excited to introduce Norwegian Luna as the vessel that perfectly complements her sister ship, Norwegian Aqua,”
“The debut of Norwegian Luna truly showcases our ongoing commitment to providing guests more of what they enjoy and value – a brand-new ship with the latest, innovative offerings sailing to the beautiful, tropical destinations of the Caribbean. It is important to give our guests more to see, do, and enjoy on board and, ultimately, more out of their cruise vacation. We can’t wait for them to experience Norwegian Luna!”
