The luxury Sensei brand will open its first retreat on mainland US, Sensei Porcupine Creek, in Rancho Mirage, Greater Palm Springs, California on November 1.
The private wellness retreat, by technology pioneer Larry Ellison and world-leading physician and scientist Dr David Agus, is located at the exclusive foot of the Santa Rosa Mountains, a nationally protected monument in the Coachella Valley. The 230-acre property will include classic Californian golf and tennis facilities, a state-of-the-art diagnostic centre, spa gardens and Sensei by Nobu, exclusively for resort guests.
The property will offer a small number of hotel rooms in the former estate house, as well as private villas clustered throughout the tranquil setting. A stay at Sensei Porcupine Creek will be uniquely booked through wellness packages, whereby guests can choose from a health, fitness or sabbatical stay. Guests choose a curated stay designed to benefit their lifestyle, whether it’s mindset, nutrition, yoga or fitness. There is also the option to book a sabbatical experience for a month or longer, where luxurious accommodation paired with check-ins with Sensei guides helps guests to achieve their most relaxed and best-self states.
The property’s location in Rancho Mirage will give guests unique access to the surrounding landscapes. The Santa Rosa Mountain range is ideal for hiking trips and outdoor adventure, while the Indian Canyons, the ancestral home of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, hold healing waterfalls, unusual rock formations and thousands of Californian palms.
