The McGettigan Group, in a new franchise partnership with Dubai-based Seven Tides International and City 12 Hospitality, opened its doors last week (Friday 22nd November) to usher in a new and exciting venue in the five-star Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate Dubai hotel.
The expansive McGettigan’s Ibn Battuta Gate, which covers over 11,000 square feet on the hotel’s ground floor, aims to put Irish hospitality firmly on the map in the Jebel Ali and surrounding communities.
Good first impressions are always essential, and guests entering the venue will be stunned by a giant atrium adorned with stained-glass windows with an impressive circular table in the centre of the room. Further inside is an imposing central bar, surrounded by an eclectic mix of cosy corners and more spacious areas, each with its distinct features from floor to ceiling, ideal for a quiet catch-up or a lively group gathering.
Stepping outside into a vibrant urban garden, guests will come across McGettigan’s iconic domed bar, a music stage, and a giant LED screen showing live sports. For those looking for a more tranquil setting, there is also a sunken garden tucked away in the corner of the garden, offering a more chilled vibe for those who enjoy quality time to catch up with friends and family.

Looking ahead, McGettigan’s has organised an impressive line-up of live entertainment, including the acclaimed Irish rock band, The Coronas, who will take to the stage this Friday, 29th November, headlining the first of many live concerts.
More opening promotions are on offer. Happy Hour runs daily from 12–8 pm, Sunday through Friday, and Unlocked Mondays offers a huge 35% discount to those who download and sign up to the Unlocked by McGettigan’s loyalty app.
With Christmas less than four weeks away, McGettigan’s will roll out its Festive Brunches every Saturday and Family Funday Roasts every Sunday during the month of December, featuring fun and games to keep the little ones entertained while mums and dads relax. Kids are also welcome to use the hotel’s Kids’ Club while the family is dining at McGettigan’s.
