With an impressive background in engineering, leadership and a track record of driving operational excellence, Gras joins the Al Barsha Cluster properties; Novotel Dubai Al Barsha, ibis Dubai Al Barsha and Aparthotel Adagio Premium Dubai Al Barsha and is set to bring a wealth of experience to his role within the properties.

With over 12 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer and Project Manager, and 8 years of hospitality experience in a diversified portfolio of brands, Gras demonstrates proven technical knowledge, alongside excellent interpersonal, communication and training skills. Hailing from Egypt, Haysam holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering that has laid a strong foundation for his accomplished career, making him a versatile professional in the dynamic fields of electrical engineering.

As he steps into the position as Cluster Director of Engineering, Gras will oversee diverse responsibilities related to the hotels facilities, maintenance, and sustainability. His day-to-day tasks include coordinating facility management, implementing energy conservation strategies, overseeing greywater recycling systems, managing a team of engineers, and leading sustainability initiatives.

In addition, Haysam will explore and integrate new technologies to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of engineering operations, ultimately contributing to the hotel’s commitment to cutting-edge practices and environmental responsibility.
