Oceania Cruises has announced that its newest addition to the fleet, the Allura, will grace the seas a week earlier than anticipated. The 67,000 gross ton vessel is scheduled to embark on its maiden voyage from Trieste, Italy, on July 18, 2025, instead of the end of July as planned.
The Allura’s inaugural journey, a truly grand affair spanning six days and culminating in Piraeus (Athens), Greece, is now even more exclusive. This unexpected early departure offers a unique opportunity for travellers booked on the original maiden voyage, set for July 24, to be part of the new inaugural sailing, adding an extra layer of prestige to their journey.
Frank A. Del Rio, president of Oceania Cruises, is brimming with excitement about this unexpected schedule advancement. He attributes this early debut to the hard work of their partners at Fincantieri, and eagerly looks forward to the Allura’s continuation with the original Mediterranean itinerary planned for its second sailing, from July 24 to August 5, featuring stops in iconic destinations such as Mykonos, Santorini, and Barcelona.
The Allura is set to become a winter favourite, going to Miami to offer Caribbean adventures after its Mediterranean season. But before it reaches its Miami homeport, the ship will dock in New York City for a special “taster” cruise, highlighting its culinary prowess.
Del Rio shared his enthusiasm for presenting the Allura in a unique one-time taster voyage from the heart of New York City, offering a glimpse into the ultra-premium cruise experience Oceania Cruises is renowned for.
The “Taste of Oceania Cruises” voyage, a 4-day roundtrip from New York City, is a unique opportunity for new-to-brand guests to savour the enhanced culinary offerings aboard the Allura. With a 3:2 passenger-to-crew ratio and a dedicated chef for every ten guests, the Allura promises a gastronomic experience.
The Allura’s dining scene is a gastronome’s delight, featuring a new Creperie, five specialty dining venues, and widespread experiences like the Polo Grill and Red Ginger. The ship also introduces a new library and digital hub, LYNC, alongside enrichment programs that include art classes and sommelier demonstrations.
The Allura Class ship offers luxury and comfort with 612 spacious staterooms, each at least 291 square feet and many with veranda views. Suites come with exclusive perks, such as private lounge access and unlimited entry to the Aquamar Spa Terrace.
As Allura sets sail on its new journey, it marks a milestone for Oceania Cruises, continuing its legacy of offering exceptional sea voyages with a touch of elegance and culinary excellence.
