OKU Hotels is delighted to announce the appointment of Michael Vance as Vice President of Sales. Joining ahead of the upcoming summer season, Michael brings a wealth of sales and marketing expertise in the luxury hospitality space, working with some of the world’s best travel brands, such as Six Senses and Kuoni. With over 10 years of experience, building connections across the globe, Michael has inspired and motivated teams whilst implementing innovative sales strategies and digital marketing campaigns that effortlessly spotlighted outstanding properties and achieved strong results.
Most recently, Michael was the Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for the Maldives at Six Senses, opening Six Senses Kanuhura in September 2023 and achieving outstanding results in one of the most competitive markets in the world. OKU Hotels are truly delighted to have Michael join their team at such an exciting time of growth with soon-to-be-announced expansion plans, and for what is set to be a brilliant season and beyond.
With this on the horizon, OKU Hotels are focused on strong sales and trade relationships, with a view to cementing the brand’s strength in key markets, such as the UK, but also looking to further develop key major European feeder markets, and break into longer-haul source markets such as the US and the wider Americas. Michael’s focus will be to build on the existing success that OKU Hotels have enjoyed in recent years whilst also elevating the brand’s positioning through the development of new partnerships, markets and affiliations. Michael will also be instrumental in the commercial strategy and launch phases of the new projects that form the exciting pipeline of OKU Hotel’s development over the coming years.
