Star Alliance took the title of World’s Leading Airline Alliance for the fifth year in a row at this year’s World Travel Awards.
The event was held in Madeira, Portugal on Sunday, 24th November.
Theo Pangiotoulias, chief executive for the alliance, said of this most recent honour: “This enduring achievement reflects the collective dedication of Star Alliance and member airline employees, as well as their commitment to deliver seamless travel experiences.”
Aside from the alliance-level award, Star Alliance member airlines claimed individual honours at the event.
These airlines were hailed as World’s Leading Airline in the Africa, Asia, North America, and South America categories.
