Tiqets.com, the global platform for cultural venues and attractions, headquartered in Amsterdam, is now entering Japan.
The company has now signed contracts with Japanese cultural venues. Tiqets’ mission is to make culture more accessible by helping venues around the world increase visitor numbers, increase revenue and improve the quality of the visit. In order to get global audiences to these cultural treasures, the company has partnered with cultural venues in Japan such as the Enryaku-Ji Temple near Kyoto and the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo.
Venue partnerships
With over 50 museums and attractions that have partnered with the company as of now, the global platform will give access to over 100 venues by the end of 2019. The company is gearing up from now on to cash in on the upcoming Olympic games in 2020.
Talking about how the company’s entry in Japan will facilitate tourism traffic into Japan, Keiko Nekomi, cultural strategy officer, Japanese Agency for Cultural Affairs, said: “Within a year of opening up in Japan in 2018, more than 50 venue partnerships with Japanese cultural experiences and cultural facilities have been created.”
